Tour Highlights
Take in views of the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier as you board your raft lakeside and begin your journey down river. Travel through the glacial-carved Mendenhall Valley while taking in the views of the lush Tongass National Forest. Wildlife can often be seen along the river’s shore, look for bald eagles, black bears, otters. You’ll have the option to paddle the raft while being entertained by your experienced guide’s interpretive narrative, but most of our guests choose to have the guide do all the work—just sit back, relax and don’t forget to smile for the photographer during the short stretch of class II and III rapids. This river trip is a great way for all ages and activity levels to get into Alaska’s outdoors—just sit and enjoy the ride. Includes an Alaskan-style snack.

It was exciting and fun. I liked the river guides stories, they were very interesting. Thank you for the snacks, that apple cider warmed me back up. ~ J. Kin, Dublin, LN
